Snapchat owner files for IPO

Pretty cool, absolutely incredible how much Tech Companies America has we have Naspers that is about it.

There are many in SA. However we have seen quite a few disappear also and the name changes do not always help.

Complete and utter bollocks...

You really shouldn't comment on things you have no idea about.
Apple, Facebook, snapchat, Google, Yahoo, bing, Microsoft, Whatsapp.

Give me a South African company with Billions of users.

I'll wait

It will be nice to remember we've had companies that started off here that got acquired or had to relocate.

Relocate? You might ask, yes because the landscape of South Africa isn't meant for tech companies to expand and it's the same for a lot of first world countries.

Why setup in SA, when you can base yourself in SV and get access to the skill pool you need and funding you require.

and the most infamous/famous examples are arguably is the Shuttle oke, or that space guy with the rockets.

I wouldn't refer to Musk's ventures as South African.

Also remember MXit was big here. At the time, I think MXit's only competitor was Mig33.

MXit existed in the feature phone age before push notifications and apps that could run in the background.

Even if you look at the app within app concept that WeChat is pushing, MXit already had a similar concept, as well as bots.
