So FNB wants you to use your virtual cards wherever possible, and use the eBucks program to push this as well. (80% off all spend must be done on virtual card). I use my virtual cards with loads of online services, like Uber, Apple account, Netflix etc etc. But it is impossible to use it with snapscan. Somehow it seems snapscan wants to verify CVV number each and every time you pay for something, so I get a CVV error each time I try pay on snapscan (FNB changes the CVV number every 15 minutes or so). Why is this? Why can all those other online services, including apple pay, by only verifying the CVV once when I add the card, but not on snapscan. I cant remember that this was an issue previously. but I haven't used snapscan since august last year, and cant remember if it was my virtual card or physical card added back then.

I think it's always been an issue with SnapScan, you can use scan to pay in the FNB app though.
Ja I haven't used the scapscan app again after FNB allows you to scan from the app - there's a scan icon right there top right when you open the app.

As everyonbe said, use FNB Scan to Pay.

Why do you want to use snapscan?
I almost always use the scan to pay, hence why I haven’t used snapscan since last year August, but unfortunately there are some snapscan codes that don’t work with Scan2pay on FNB. I have found this especially with snapscan vendors that have a drop down menu where you need to choose where to allocate your payment to. (These also normally don’t have a wiCode printed underneath the QR Code)

It’s specifically an issue for me at church. Our church has a snapscan code, but if you scan it with the snapscan app, it opens a page where you need to select what the money is for (tithes, pew collections, specific projects, coffee corner, bookshop etc.)

FNB app doesn’t work for that, and i have had the same issue at a coffee shop in Stellenbosch before as well.
