So I thought I download the app and see how it preforms. Well before I could do anything I get a pop on the app stating that my phone is rooted and they (dunno who they are/is) will stop supporting rooted phones soon as it makes the app unsafe to use.

Needless to say I uninstalled the app.

Lol, that's a shame. How does this whole SnapScan thing work though? So you take an item in a shop, then open SnapScan at the counter, scan the QR code and then what? Do you type in how much you must pay?

Dunno, wanted to try, but yea the whole not supporting rooted phones issues will let me not know. Anyways not too fussed.

They're not supporting rooted phones because your card details are at risk from malicious apps and you complain?

Yep, you scan the code, type the amount, send. The shop merchant receives an sms of payment made, and let's you the door.

You should try the masterpass app. The whole way how it works, it doesn't reaaallly matter if your phone is rooter or not. Snapscan its an issue, because the card details are kept on the phone, not the same with the masterpass app.

This is exactly how I feel about websites who want me to disable adblock.

Once SnapScan is loaded you take a photo of your Credit Card. It then captures your details from the photo. It is thus a security issue designed to protect you. Take your blinkers off instead of getting into a huff.

Looks like I trampled on some dev's toes here.

Let me spell this out for you....

I DID NOT KNOW IT SAVED IT TO THE PHONE.

Now untie you panties and go drink a chill pill.
