No using a QR code you specifically avoid using the card machine...I was trying to pay at pick n pay with but the people behind me were in such a rush to go.
I thought you can use snapscan on all card machines
obviously not
Customers can then safely and simply pay for their purchase by scanning the QR code at the till from the Masterpass app and entering their bank PIN on their phone.
This means that customers and cashiers don’t have to exchange a bank card and the payment pin pad is avoided.[/QUOTE}
I assumed PnP would allow snapscan since you now can apparently use your phone instead of a physical smart shopper card.
I haven't tried that feature personally so don't know exactly how it worked IRL
There has to be at least a way to pay with your points using for the app?Can scan using the smart shopper app for points or discounts, but can't pay with an app to my knowledge.
What is awesome about the smart shopper app is when it times out or log in is unsuccessful and everyone behind you waits and growls.
Not my fault their server doesn't always work, you peasants can wait patiently. This is Africa! Viva!
Yes, you can spend the R2 you saved after spending 10 000 on groceries.There has to be at least a way to pay with your points using for the app?
What don't you just use tap and pay via FNB Pay?Not sure about PnP (as I don't buy from them) but I pay for fuel at Engen using the Scan To Pay function in the FNB app and the QR code generated on the card machine. Scan to Pay reads MasterPass and SnapScan QR codes but not Zapper codes.
So I guess if the card machine's QR code is SnapScan compliant it will be possible.
I use an iPhone. Tap to pay is currently only available on Android.What don't you just use tap and pay via FNB Pay?
