SNARE Epilog and Open Source Event Log management

Hi guys,

has anyone ever worked with epilog to manage the event logs on all their servers, if so where you able to import directly from the EVT files or did you need to export them to txt first.

also, can anyone recommend a good Open Source central event management system for a MS2003 network.
