Having trouble getting lan play to work, all pc settings seem correct, anyone else have this problem?

Have you found a fix for the sniper elite lan. I am also having problems
 
:eek: If there are ANY guys from SA playing SE online PLEASE let me know... Regarding LAN you need to open a certain port (will find out correct port) and disable any firewalls ect....
 
Sorry to digress but is the game any good? Got my finger poised on the "Buy" button if it is. :)
 
Cool - I'll probably get it then. :) Wonder if any stores have it locally.
 
I suggest playing the demo first..it is very sloooooow...but I guess that is what sniping is all about.

EDIT - ouch - 630mb - if I was using my SAIX account that would be a pricey demo :eek:

Has anyone managed to get this game working on their lan as yet? Is it only a port that needs to change, if so, which port?

I'VE CRACKED THE L.A.N PROBLEM!!!!!
If You Turn Windows Firewall Off On Both Computers It Works Like A Dream
But Then You Leave Your Computer Open For Viruses To Attack,
But Definitely Worth It!!!!
Hope People Are Happy With This!!!!

You shouldn't use windows firehedge to begin with, it's completely useless at stopping outbound traffic that doesn't want to be stopped. You should always disable it and get a firewall that's worthwhile. Then you also won't have problems with games and such.

I'm Running Windows Vista And The Firewall Does A Pretty Good Job At Keeping Viruses Etc Etc . Out,
+ Everytime Ya Go On A Game Or Whatever Its Asks If You Want To Let It Through The Firewall So I Dont Know What Your On About BROWSER!!
 
I think he is on about the fact that Windows Firelineinthesand is a complete piece of crap. It is a well-known fact, not even remotely debatable. You might as well be debating that Rob Mugabe is a positive influence on the Zimbabwean economy.

I Am Going On About Windows (So Called) Firewall, Also I Didn't Say It Doesn't Stop Anything, I Said It Doesn't Stop Anything That Doesn't Want To Be Stopped. !!!!111oneone!11 lol

Oh and a firewall doesn't/isn't supposed to stop viruses. Anti-Virus anyone?
 
I dunno hey, I _LOVE_ ww2 games. As i always say, i rate my WW2 games by the *ching* sound the M1-garand makes.

but somehow this game didn't do it for me. I know sniper games are slow, but this was very monotonous... the single element that made this game worth playing for me, was the bullet chase cam. But after the first 20 shots, it became old.

I'll rather stick to Call of Duty 2 multiplayer :(
