Does any of you know more about it?
I have been told that they might be using a mix of WiMax/Satelite and Power lines to transport/backhaul there bandwidth.

Dear Mr. ****,

Thank you for contacting us & the interest that you have shown in our services.

As you would be aware, the SNO has only recently received its license and is in the final stages of design and planning of a state of the art network backed up by a world class service delivery and support.

In the next few months, we will start a phased roll-out of products and services, which will ultimately cover the entire country.

Our ADSL services are currently planned to be launched during the fourth quarter of 2006.

We have captured your contact details in our database & will communicate to you as soon as we are ready with our service offerings.

Alternatively, you may please visit our website http://www.snotelecom.co.za for periodic updates.

We look forward to a long-term & mutually beneficial relationship.

Well kilo39 might just be spot on - 6 months normally equates to 2 years when it comes to telecoms in SA. If I'm not mistaken SNO is already more than 2 years late.

No he's very correct ... End of the year in South Africa IS 2 years in real time ... Assuming that Captain Jean Luc Picard gets back to the planet before Telk ... I mean before the Borg assimilate us all ...
