SNO unlikely to bring down tariffs

Well the good thing to come out of this SNO might be that one of the investors in the maintenance of the sat3 cable is also part of the SNO. Maybe some more bandwith for the people. That is according to what I read earlier this year, Cant remember the source though.

Did anyone believe that the SNO would start a price war with Telkom and erode any chance of them making the same ludicrous profits? The first hint should have been when Socikwa, CEO of Transtel and their rep on the board of the SNO stated "I don't believe the SNO would be well advised to get into a price war." http://www.mybroadband.co.za/nephp/?m=show&id=759

They're falling back on the old standby that they'd rather provide a better service. Remember all the benefits the consumers reaped when Cell C introduced their service?
