SNO Website?

Forget do they have a website.... Does the SNO have a name? I mean they can't use the name "Second National Operator" although original I just don't think it will cut it!

Transtel is one of the major shareholders of SNO and has all the news about it.

It also "operates the only other International Gateway for voice and data services in South Africa."

You would think with a couple of million $ lying about to become a national operator, they would have a better website than that

They dont seem to bad though.. I mean in their opinions of the situation and what they plan to do etc. Except that they are kind of BEE obsesed, every picture on that site is of a black female professional. They do say that they are very worried about the monopoloy that Telkom has and plan to bring good things to the country in terms of broadband etc... but thats just talk. I think because they were "chosen" to be the SNO by the government/inadvertently Telkom (am I wrong?) they might not have as much freedom and wont neccesarily have such great prices. It will be good all the same, cant wait to see real, actually any, competition for Telkom.

How "inadvertently Telkom"?
They were chosen by the government as well as Eskom

i dont really know... Thats why i asked if i was wrong.
Well basically Telkom has big government connections and with a big decision like appointing the SNO they would like to be involved wouldn't they? Just saying that they would chose anyone that would probably be most friendly towards them and ensure the profits still come rolling in for them, ie. sort of the worst provider for us to have as a SNO.

Well the site looks like it's optimised for bloody IE4... it sucks, not really the up-to-date kind of people you want to be running the latest broadband connections for your country hey? Well cant actually judge much from their website yet, we'll all just have too see when they actually launch a product.

Is this the SNO??!! Aargh! We're doomed! Theres no hope!!!

They used to be a major shareholder in MTN and used to advertise that they build infastructure for cellular networks.
That's why MTN has many network crashes and faults.

I've got an old copy of Frontpage on Stiffies lying around that will build this website out of the box

Transtel the SNO legacy connection

Yea, its probably the ugliest site i've seen all year.

They are using frontpage to "generate" their webpage. Oh well, it could have been MS Word
