Hello All
I am new here and hoping to get some resolution on this sticky subject of reduced SNR and slow speeds.
I have looked up on google, ways to improve SNR and seems I cant do much without getting the ISP involved.
However last night while surfing and monitoring the line att and noise margin, I recieved an incoming call and noticed immediately that the att reduced from about 59-60 down to 54-55 and margin increased from 6-9 to above 15 db.
This morning when I logged on I noticed the same bad numbers above (att 59-60 db and SNR 6-9
db). I then called my home number via cell and noticed the very same improvement. Seems like decay over some time.
Using Netgear DGN2200 on ADSL 1Mb uncapped. Incoming line splits to phone and modem. No filter on line to modem.
Can anyone explain this and how to resolve permanently.
Thanks
Chrisn
