Sorry for the double post but I really have to say, I"M STOKED!!!!INCREDIBLE!!

YAY!!!!! it works. I have just managed to get my 3G card working on my Ubuntu Dapper AMD64 PC, using a R250 Chronos PCI-PCMCIA adapter. Of course, with the excellent guides below, it made it sooooooo easy!!! THANX TO TAZZ AND THE CLUG FOR UP TO DATE, PERFECT GUIDES AND WIKI'S. I SWEAR, THAT WAS EVEN EASIER THAN WINDOWS.... I KID U NOT!! I spent almost 3 hrs screwing with windows to try and pick up the damn card and everytime I rebooted, the card was lost again. So, in windows I had to keep re-adding the PCI and 3G modem devices everytime I started my PC.
I think I took about 30mins getting it up and running on Linux! WOW! NICE!!! AND, as a bonus, I'm getting between 460 and 750kb/s....YAY!!!!!Thats while I'm downloading a 700MB file. Cool, I'm still going to try push it to get my 1.8MB/s.
And, as a even bigger bonus, this damn card runs like a dream compared to windows, connection never gets lost, more stable, faster etc etc.
Open to ideas on how to boost to 1.8MB/s?
