On a Saturday morning I missed a call from iburst accounts department saying I was in arrears. I called back, waiting on hold.... Having to explain to the woman that I was told the day before by another lady in accounts that my account was in order and up to date.

Afternoon, power trips and try to reconnect - invalid username/password.... get a hold of tech support and told my account is deactivated due to non payment.

Accounts dept are only in during the weekday and we cant reactivate....

Do I have to go on

:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

rest of the weekend on mtn gprs.....

That's the iBurst Accounts department at their best! :p The harder they can screw you over, the more satisfaction they get.:sick:

Not ANOTHER IBUST AC U N TSDEPARTMENT THREAD!!!

Shame bud, i really, but honestly, and truly feel sorry for you.

It has actually become a joke as to how ridiculous that department is.

Hope you come right as soon as you can, my story took me over 2 weeks to resolve...

1. At least you got a call.

2. I had to point my tech support person at authentication as a problem and then, after some back and forth in which the information I was providing made little impact, at the status of my account. Then I got the news.

3. Took a week and several e-mails from me before the problem was rectified. I have still to get a single e-mail or call after tech support realised what the problem was and bowed out.

4. Yup, MTN GPRS worked fine for me too.

5. Anyone have an iBurst cancellation form handy?

You also have my deepest sympathies. I've been there. I'm now on Web Africa and everything is automated. You can use your login to add or remove services, and all the billing is automated. I don't really expect iBust to be around long enough to reach that level of competency anyway.

Pigs will fly when that happens :D

Green fluorescent porkers :D

Had this problem too, they waited till 5pm on Friday afternoon to do it to us once. And this was in spite of the fact that we had actually paid directly ourselves.

Zang, I can't d/l from rapidshare :( Haven't been able to for about 18months or so. Slots are always full, supposedly :(

Good luck in trying to download something from Rapidshare with iBurst.

Funny how the Accounts Department always waits to Friday afternoons to pull these stunts.

Strange as I never had problems downloading at full speed from RS when I used iburst.
Then again maybe it worked as I had a RS premium account.

ya no problems here I've used 8gigs in the last 3 days with a premium rapidshare account...

That RS premium account was well worth every cent when I was with iburst.;)

Yep I don't have a premium account, cannot afford it with my other offshore account. ;) (which is also worth every cent)

I did not have any real issues with Rapidshare and iBurst, this is without a premium account.

Just annoying have to do the wait thing with the little timer.
