So anyway how are the clubs in Margate? Good people? Or mean arrogant jocks? :mad:

would be nice if you could tell me your experiences :)

The locals are 70% retired people and 10% surfer dudes, edit: forgot to mention 20% divorced women living with their children in the holiday homes
But during the matric holidays the town is 99% drunken teenagers and 1% locals hiding in their homes

this time of year its mostly `n bunch of drunken kiddies who were let out of their houses for the first time alone. but there is also lots of drunken girls let out of their houses for the first time to make up for it :)

The locals won't tell you what club they go to, you have to know the secret handshake and they also change the password every fortnight. And I've already said too much.
 
99% vaalie as the locals generally try and get the hell out during the holiday seasons :p

Young ones + alcohol + drugs + woman = fights

It happens every year.

Then you get those that drown, wrap their daddies car around a pole & get arrested for vandalism etc.

The chances of going out and meeting locals are scares, if there are any out they make up like 0.01% of the people.
 
I'm a local and I do go out in margate over december? So do most of my friends as the drunk upstate girls are easy pray to their wily charms. Not that I didn't pray on the upstate boys either....most locals this year will most likely be found in the village tavern- its become the new backline it seems judging what my friends get upto on facebook. In margate every jol is a jock jol unfortunately- especially during december- most clubs are on the beach or on and around marine drive. Backline, friends, backstage(or what ever its called now), cock n tail and pirates are firm favourites. If u want something good to eat try out Tiago's in marine drive - they sell the best chicken burgers ever created in my opinion. A word of advice the cops will be crawiling all over the place so its best to try walk to where ever u r jolling. The bouncers will pepper spray with no warning if u don't behave. And rule of thumb - treat the locals nicely!!! They can make things easier for u.
