So what is the actual procedure that is involved in buying a second hand car?
How can you prove that the current owner has concluded a deal and that they have sold the car to you?
How do you know its safe?
Lest say someone advertises a car that is very good value - so lets say you go look at the car and everything is great, except the buyer wants cash only.
So how do you know when you rock up with the cash, and its a lot because its a car, that he doesnt whip out a gun, laugh in your face and drive off with the car and your cash.
Then also how do you know they are the actual owner, is there a way or a database one can go check registration and engine info against the owners name?
so can anyone advise on the correct and safest procedure
Thanks
