Its a Packard Bell Dot S2.
2 gigs of Ram
250 gig Hdd
N450 Processor

Wanted to get the vaio but the 3 cell battery put me off.

Its obviously slow compared to what im use to BUT my only problem i have is that it wont play youtube videos full screen, it lags. Now a normal AVI works fine in media player classic but not vlc ( VLC lags )
Its got Windows 7 Starter on it.

So my question to you guys, is this normal or do i take it back ?

Are all necessary codecs installed?

Maybe try another media player? I use Gom Player on my NC10 and it works fine...

Firefox, latest version.
Nope, I dont let it buffer all the way. Perhaps I should give that a go.
It buffers faster than I can keep up though...

I suppose it depends on your line speed but I normally just let all the videos buffer first because of my 384 line speed... :(

Hehe, nah i dont need to wait. Tried it now with buffering and using Chrome and its still a little laggy :(

whats the cpu usage like while playing a youtube vid?

When its in the window its around 74 % and fullscreen I cant see but according to the line graph its almost full.
This doesnt sound right to me...

My Lenovo S10e with an intel atom handles youtube fullscreen fine.

I've found all 'browser' video to lag when using Chrome on my older PCs
