and it freezes for a split second or so, very random, but annoying as sin

... i did not pay R999 for a freezing mouse with pretty LEDs ... anyone with this mouse and those problems? ... and what did you do to fix it ... pleeeeeeeeease help ... :(

Give us a clue: what mouse? What OS? What driver version?
 
ok MX Revolution Logitech
Setpoint 4.7
Vista 32 Bit

i attached the usb receiver to the front of the PC chassis and it seems sorted out, looks like this mouse has a range issue ...!??? weird ...
 
Ive put the usb dongle onto a 1/2 meter extension and have it just behind the screen.Works superbly there.
 
Sorry but why pay R999 for a mouse?
My R50 Microsoft one works just great with gaming
 
1k for a mouse is insane! If were to spend that much on a mouse i would just wait a bit till i can afford the ocz nia
 
Put the receives away from your computer, I think it can interfere with the signal somehow. Well that seems to be what happened with my wireless Logitech (R300). ;-)

HeHe I got my razer lachesis for R330 :) I thought it was too cheap but I'm not complaining... I now have a R900 mouse but I never paid that much. :)

Not to be a spoilsport. But my flatmate has the same mouse. I used it for about a month and dude, it's really worth R1K. Great piece of engineering.

got it in the front of the pc seems fine there, but i think i need to get my hands on an extension and then place it behind the monitor .. thanks guys
 
All I can say is that's what you get from buying a wireless mouse.

Wireless mouses and gaming don't belong in the same sentence. After using Logitech mouses I will never buy a R50 mouse ever again.

Believe me your 50 rand mouse works nothing like a razer or logitech gaming mouse, your just to cheap to buy more expensive mice and use that as an excuse because if you had ever used an expensive mouse you would not ever say your 50 rand mouse works just as well :).
 
Holding the mx revolution is almost as nice as having a perfect boob to fondle all day long. But better, 'cos you can make it do whatever you want, especially if you use this:

Worth every cent. Anyone who sees my mouse wants to know where they can buy one. Anyone who uses my mouse never wants to let it go.:D
 
Anything 'wireless' :sick: and gaming does not go together. G5 ftw!
 
Where does the OP mention the MX Revolution and gaming?

I'll soon be on my 3rd MX Revolution, the 2 I've had so far have both lasted 10 months, before developing double click on single click and scroll wheel issues. Thankfully Logitech replaced it the first time and is in the process of sending me my 3rd one.

If I had to buy a new mouse now I would get a MX 1100, it has the improvements the Revolution needed, the only downside is it isn't rechargeable.

Seconded. I use an extension too; it reduces interference.

As Grouter says, uberOptions is a fantastic piece of software. I have the 8 buttons and wheels programmed to do different things in different games and applications, seamlessly switching function as I switch application.
