But does that mean it's ok to come in and screw up other dealers whom have been affording the rest of us oppurtunities all along?

Yes, look to MyBB as an avenue.
But then don't come and throw your toys out of your cot when other dealers are in on the action too.

Everyone on this forum knows about pcint who are just as cheap as esquire along with zones.co.za both have crazy pricing. Do you think the people of myBB are stupid they will use pcint now and zones so like i said the dealers on here will still struggle.

I was referring to PCDirect throwing their toys out of the cot.
And the oppurtunities I make mention of is for someone like myself that had no direct contact with dealers before, but now have the avenue to make use of.
 
most of us mybb members have connections with people that can buy from rectron/frontosa anyway.... I don't see what the big deal is....

I tried to use them last week, got a distinct lack of interest shown for my business, still waiting for PM's and returned phone calls to sales staff regarding my inquiry.

Will try them again? Naa.

Price aside, just a little bit of basic service or common courtesy goes a long way. Call me old school if you will.

yeah, I have no gripe with it. There is no problem dealing with MyBB members at all. I myself will do it at cost + maybe a agreed small percentage if need be, as I feel for these guys the same as I would for my real friends. I would never try and make a killing out of MyBB members. Thats for those others "dealers" that dont care a damn. They are here only for the money. Why make a stink about a few advantages MyBB members could enjoy from Esquire? Sick. :sick: spit.

So Yeah, many have friends with dealership accounts, I have "friends" that only want to exploit that feature of our friendship. I do nothing for them unless directly asked and I have the free time.

It is not a issue at all appart from the fact that it seems that certain idiots took a MyBB members benefit away.

At least what Esquire could do is arange through anather dealer like me or anyone else to give this benefit back to the MyBB members. That would be "legal" and shut the moaners up completely. Many clubs and other Site forum members get exclusive deals with compasnies based on their membership. Why deny it to MyBB members?

Be real, some deals Esquired presented was even beyond those Suppliers. I checked and compared many items and prices. I as a small fry could not compete at all. Only way to compete is buying BULK at a discount of trade prices and resell at smaller margins.

OK, I'm probably gonna cause Armegeddon/The end of all things/a really bad hair day but.......... I completely agree with Penguin. :eek: :p

Esquire have had some really good deals lately and I've allready bought 3 terabytes from them. Sometimes Rectron has a good deal sometimes Corex. And if Esquire has decided to supply forumites here at MYBB, which, lets be honest equals a single drop in the ocean of people buying from dealers, all the more power to them.

Now if you'll excuse me I'm gonna go have a shower..... with bleach and some steel wool...... I feel dirty for some reason. :(

I have delt with Esquire before and some of their products are dodgy or rather suspect quality - i suppose u cant go wrong with the branded products such as the HP's but their own branding is dreadful ( we bought 50 USB thumb drives ) and a high percentage stopped working after a short period of time. Keyboards purchased were duds and this was new out of the box Just be careful what you purchase :)

Yip, I'm with you. I used it on Monday to buy the HD4670 graphics card at an absolute steal of a price thanks to "Esquire" making a deal. He did not have to so what he did. As a result I also purchased some extra RAM and some other peripherals (which were already extremely competitively priced!).

The service from the staff at the Durban branch was also great. They were friendly and extremely helpful!

As others have said... if your prices are good and you have what I need, you get my money!
