As the title states, have cancelled bank cards and access cards but have no idea what the process for getting a new ID and drivers licence is.
As well as how long it takes.
Currently out of town so doubt some kind stranger will return it..It's been missing since Monday.
Advice and places where I can get a new (cheap)wallet are appreciated.

Thanks :)

You need a man bag with a small holding strap, it might be embarrassing but so is losing your wallet.

I found a wallet a while back that was obviously stolen and dumped, was unable to trace the person, no facebook profile/no references on google. Found their previous address in the phone book but the new owner had no forwarding address. How do you locate someone with a last name like Celliers and a initial? Did send out a couple of emails to people with similar initials but all of them were not related to the person.

Does anyone keep personal contact details in their wallet - phone number, address etc. in case it gets lost?

When you get back in the country go to home affairs with your birth certificate and apply for a temporary ID and a replacement one.

When you get your temporary ID go the the department of transport and get a temporary drivers license and apply for a replacement one at the same time.

If you don't have a birth certificate eish... I don't know

Turns out I lost my ID as well

So what's the process? Do I need my birth certificate? I have copies but they're not certified.

Nvm saw the post by Centaur.
