so i took the plunge

So after this little problem, i decided to give ubuntu 9.04 a go....

WOW i am MAJORLY impressed with how easy it was to install, configure etc

(i have a bit of linux experience, RHEL, but mostly command line)

although i still dual boot with XP, i now find myself going into ubuntu for most of the stuff, and using XP for when i want to play games...

on that note, what sites you guys recommend so that i can learn a bit more (i found a few, but the ones you list might just add to the experience).

think i'm converted <except for the games part>

Just use the standard program that comes with Linux, called vpnc.
My current version is: 0.5.3
My package description is as follows:

A VPN client compatible with Cisco's EasyVPN equipment.

Supports IPSec (ESP) with Mode Configuration and Xauth.  Supports only
shared-secret IPSec authentication, 3DES, MD5, and IP tunneling.

Holy sh*t--->honestly thats all that I can say, I am so impressed with ubuntu I have been all smiles since my install 2 days ago.

I was so tired with XP, I didn't want to go to vista so I was about to go through all the hastle of trying to get "hackint0sh" working on my PC. Just before I did that I gave ubuntu 1 last shot, for some reason jaunty wouldn't play along so I installed 8.10 intebix ibex or something.! desktop effects are great and this is better than any other OS's I have used. I am no longer jealous of mac users but seriously its unbelievebly cool.
