So ... my unfortunate friends ...

I trust there is going to be plenty of campfire tomfoolery and brokeback bro time.

It's a Bi-annual thing, NOT a biennial thing.

As long as it's not a bi-sexual thing. :D

9 grown men going camping together. Wasn't there a movie similar to this , Deliberate, Delivery, I forget :)

Deliverance: "What's the matter, boy? I bet you can squeal. I bet you can squeal like a pig. Let's squeal. Squeal now. Squeal."

...

The 9 men on our staff (Principal, Vice-principal, 3 senior teachers, and us 4 young teaching Turks) are going camping at Lambertsbay from Wednesday to Friday. It's a Bi-annual thing, NOT a biennial thing. It's going to involve lounging on the beach and consuming large quantities of liquid refreshments. Fishing and making an epic potjie are also on the itinerary. We've also got some contacts for some "Kreef".

.....

I know there is Kreef in Lamberts Bay but it always concerns me when people put words in inverted comma's like that, for no obvious reason.

What happens on "man camp" stays on "Man camp"

There is an obvious reason. The word "kreef" is Afrikaans.

I know I could have used Italics, but I figured ... what the hell.

there's no wind under water
Have you ever been in the water by Lamberts bay? Only the bravest (read: stupid) people brave that water. It turns you into a inverted shell of a man faster than you can say "where's my dick gone"

Haha!
Let me guess : The lodge has TV and electric lights and air con, etc.
Yip ... just like camping. :)

Nope we have to take a generator along just for 4 ceiling bulbs. It's an old farm worker's quarters that just has the bare essentials. It's also quite run down.

Ah good ... a bit of roughing it.
I'm just jealous because my tent and camping equipment haven't been used in 3 years.
Flipping rat race, high prices of everything and 15 working days leave per annum. :(

Wow a Lodge with 9 rooms/beds... how expensive is that though?

are there any women going?
