If this folk music is local folk music then I support the white neighbour 100%, Hlaudi would be so proud.
 
Apart from what has been mentioned, this opinion piece (of shyte) highlights something else we see all too often: he bangs on about the previous regime and how whitey won't lift a finger to make reparations...

Who is to blame? Those who caused the problem? Or those who cannot fix it? Daily you cry out for accountability, for our leaders to take responsibility for their actions however we are still waiting for you to admit to and accept accountability for the actions of your own leaders and finally make right the wrongs of the past that we still live under, even race-based income inequality remains, with a deafening silence coming from your side.

I forgot to mention that. I thought they left comments open on opinion pieces but I guess that was too much for the PC brigade to handle. At the time when there was discussion on shutting down comments sections on news articles, all we heard was how it's a good thing because it silences the raaaaaaacists. No. It silences everyone and pushes a narrative. Hope y'all are happy.
 
I might have taken his opinion a tad more seriously if, when he decided to communicate in English, he had the intelligence to use the language correctly.
As it is, I couldn't go more than a couple of paragraphs in.
 
So you reckon 80% is still white owned? Where do you get your statistics and why are you still acting like a minority that is powerless? Black/Coloured/Indian people are the majority in this country.

Nobody handed me anything. Shops (franchised and owner run) can be bought and run by anyone. Why haven't you saved your money or come up with a business plan to present to your bank for a loan to start your own game farm/hotel/pick'n'pay/spar?

Or are you too content working a 9 to 5 job making someone else rich (which, with BEE, is more than likely a person of color) and just moaning how no one has handed you the opportunity on a silver platter?

The business owners I know has worked for 30 years to try and save up enough just to start their businesses. So if you support them, good? Right? Or did their hard work not ring a bell during your rant about who is to blame and why you can't be yourself/have your land/business given to you for free just to run into the ground?

So if your neighbors, who are most likely also hard working tax paying south africans with jobs and not their own businesses which they got for free somewhere in a line where white people stand to get their privilage handed to them, plays a bit of Sonja Herald to relax, then what stops you from pulling out your traditional instruments and/or music and playing that too? Or did you adopt the american culture too much already?

And to another point, why in the hell are you waiting for public holidays 'to be yourself'. Is every day "white national public holiday" where we just count our money the entire day, do 0 work, have 0 bills to pay and just point and laugh at your "misfortune"? Because I missed orientation... I'm at work. Making someone else rich. So I can save up, pay my bond (*gasp* I had to BUY a property!?!!!) and hopefully have enough money saved to retire and/or start my own business?

Be yourself, always. As much as you embrace your white neighbors culture, so will they for you. If they don't, they're just *******s. And the last time I checked you don't have to be white to be an *******.

Most importantly, work for what you want in life instead of complaining about how everyone else has it better than you and looking for a reason as to why they have more/it better than you.
 
There isn't Sonja Herold listeners in Beep Areas. Should maybe move back there. Another attention seeker.

I am sorry, but your open letter just shows everybody here how closed you are.
The old regime is not in charge for almost a quarter of a century now and has your life improved in the last 20 years.
Why still demand anything from the whitey? they also struggle and sometimes more with all the policies to actually just put some food on the table.
I wish I could afford a nice mansion at the coast..... but guess what I dont have enough money to buy the place, so I am forced to buy in a different area where I can afford it.
 
In a nutshell and generally-speaking, If I rent property, buy it, buy food, book in at a hotel or game reserve, etc my money goes right back to you, I own nothing in the land of my forefathers, I’ve been systematically reduced to a spectator through hundred years of unjust policies now our people beg for whatever scraps we can be “blessed” with – the beautiful western Cape coastal property which my forefathers called home is lost to us, everything is lost to us.
