Hi there Sk33t!

Not negating the fact that there are loads of things that still need to happen, we need to understand that the road to digital Nirvana is a long and winding road in South Africa. It is not true that things are not happening. Red tape is a thing that we unfortunately have to work through. We are working through this! There is no doubt about it. The recognition given to us by some of the hardware manufacturers supplying hardware related to telecoms in SA and the physical presence of extremely competent techies from both Vodacom and MTN to mention just two examples are indicative of something being done right.

Your frustration is just an indication that we need to stand together in this process of working toward a better telecoms environment in South Africa. The proverbial fat lady still has to sing at ICASA. That process is not over yet and you will unfortunately need to wait a little longer for that process to come to fruition and render some kind of conclusion. We will see what happens and take it from there. RPM and various other members of this forum are very hard at work attending meetings, talking to the media, rallying support and negotiating on a daily basis. I don’t want to mention any more names because I am bound to leave somebody out and that would be unfair. Things are happening! Just because you don’t see it, doesn’t mean it isn’t happening…

Warm regards
Antowan
