You can hardly import the card for less. Just $650 x R13.34/$1 x 1.14 VAT = R 9,883.80 excluding shipping.

Your really lucky if you can get it at R16 to the dollar. Few months ago you'd probably of been able to get it for R10500

Generally you need to add 30% for local taxes when comparing to the overrseas prices

Even if total cost to Wootware was +- R10 000, selling at R11 000 is +- 10% profit, on a product that's difficult to get locally, I think that's not bad. Plus they will have to factor in how much it will cost to replace stock once it is sold, and with our badly performing currency, that R10 000 cost is probably going upwards on a daily/ weekly basis.

Yes I know, and shipping costs are on them when something goes wrong. I don't know how or even if they're making anything on that card.
