Soccer development in SA

the unutterably dismal awards ceremony for children receiving their "Transvaal" colours for soccer was held on Friday evening. shabby officials slouched on stage wearing cheap, badly fitting blazers - some open, some closed. their ties hung under their bellies, over their bellies and sideways. one of the men had a mullet!!! kit was handed out to the excited children. of the 2 golf shirts in the pack one is so badly made as to be unwearable and both of them are too big. stitching on the tracksuit is unravelling and the bag my grandson received is sticky inside - he arrived home in tears of disappointment. compared with their club kit imported from Germany which has each child's name embroidered on it and includes a very good quality bag the local stuff is way below par. although the kit is sponsored (thanks to the sponsors) it is the most atrocious quality imaginable. i'm wondering if this is the way to instil pride into our young players.
