Lightning damaged my motherboard, it eventually died this weekend.
I am looking for a socket A (Athlon XP) DDR AGP 8 motherboard.
Hoping someone still has one lying around.
Thanx

Hi bmeagle. Will have a look for you when I get home - got a few spare PC parts lying around. Which processor do you have (can you give me the number on the front) so I can see if any of my older boards can take it?
Cheers,
HB

I will have a look tonight for the number on the cpu but it is a Athlon XP 2800+, Socket A or 462 barton core.

Hi there bmeagle,

I have a Gigabyte Socket A that I''m not using at the moment. Let me know if you don't come right.

Cheers

Atm the best I could find is an Epox or Asus board. A gigabyte board would be first prize! I am more than intrested, how much you want for it? Any other info on the board?

the 400 mb sometimes goes loopy - take out the battery, hold the reset, plug in the mains - while the battery is out, see if its not flat

I will give that a try as well, the board did seem loopy while it was still working after the strike, would sometimes freeze during startup, seemed to forget some BIOS settings at times.

Howzit guys...

I have 1 or 2 lying around at home...

Gimme a shout if you don't come right anywhere...

Nothing great, but they work!

Cheers... :D

Deanos or under±taker!?! I am still looking for a socket A mobo. My other epox/asus option fell through unfortunately!

Thanx

Sorry mate! :(

I forgot to come back to you....

I checked the 1 spare Gigabyte board I had, some parts were burnt, so I chucked it away!

I have no idea if it still worked or not...

Sorry again...
