Is telkom softcap still when you reach 100% usage you get reduced speeds but the internet still works? Or has it changed? When I phone telkom the people I spoke to are clueless, they say the above explained is uncapped not softcap, and they say I must recharge in order for it to start working again, then I say it is working how it that possible? They reply “uhhh uhh uhh don’t know “, all I want to know is if softcap still the same old or do I get charged for what I used extra ..... ps sorry for the poor grammar

From what I know, I have never reached my limit so cannot say for sure. Once you reach 50% of your fair usage policy you get reduced speed for 2 hours during peak hours. Once it's 75% it's reduced for 4 hours during peak hours once it's 100% you get a crazy reduction in speed until the end of the month. This applies to uncapped adsl with telkom , don't know about lte or fibre.
And what about softcap? And what ever I used over 100% will I be billed for it?
Do you still have full speed after reaching your softcap?
