Hi Everyone

I just wanted to get everyone's views on studying software development.

I have 2 years commercial software development experience in C# and mssql.

Is it worth doing a degree at unisa?

BSc Informatic or BSc Computing.

Would say NDip IT -> BTech IT but the other forummers might just have me lynched. That and it takes 4 years full time to do the BTech rather than 3 full time for the BSc. Either way (prospective) employers will love you long time even if you are busy studying. Shows a candidate is willing to improve themselves and what not.

BTECH has been dropped. It's an advanced diploma now.

Where's my pitchfork?

;)

It's definitely worth it to study further - more opportunities that pay off in the long run, due to both the additional skills/knowlege/outlook and the piece of paper.

I recommend a BSc CS if you can handle the associated math courses, if not, BSc IT/IS or NDip is just fine.

Thanx for the replies everyone.

Next year it's me and unisa!
