Software for combining AVI files

I had a piece of (free) software that could do this ages ago - but lost it :/ I tried googling yesterday, but most seems freeare or demo.

Anything I can use to combine?

DVDFlick will combine to DVD
VirtualDub will combine video files into one video file

Just just them together - I got a movie from a friend, but it's in two equal parts of 700MB ...

I don't want the break - just one large 1.4GB file

Tons of DivX movies come like that. I just put them in the same folder. If you are gonna waste your time joining all your movies like that you will never get to watch them.

The things is I don't have many

So I don't mind joining the odd one. I rip my own DVD's in a single .vob file
