Software for mini-DV to HDD, best quality

Hi

I am looking for software to rip mini-DV to HDD. I bought a large HDD and just need to backup all my tapes to it. I need best quality, so size is not an issue. Been using Windows Moviemaker, but I don't know if it is as good as it gets. Can anyone suggest any?

How much space does it use if you copy the Mini-DV tape directly to your Hard Drive?

Try DVD Flick... which will allow you to create DVD ISOs or to burn them to DVD if you want....
