Software for Netgear Router - Please help

Hi there

I have a Netgear DGN 2200M V2 Router (got it with original contract years ago, but still works like a bomb)
with a 4 GIG uncapped Telkom account.

How ever with all the phones x box etc etc etc we managed to over the 250 GIG treshold and duly got shut down by Telkom.

Anybody now of software i could run on the pc controlling the router to check on the usage per IP adress ??

I think my son downloaded enough games for his xbox to last him the entire christmas holidays!!! LOL

Not possible unless the router itself tracks it. Log into the router: to get address open cmd and type in "ipconfig /all" without the quotes and hit enter. Look for default gateway and type that address into the browser, e.g. 192.168.1.1 . Password/username should be admin or 123456. Explore it and see if you can find network usage, I have it built in on a netgear range extender.

I don't know of any consumer grade routers (or that Telkom supply) that log usage by IP. There is simply no way to check historical usage unless you had previously enabled usage tracking using some software or some other firewall/gateway.

My old D-link 2400 or something did, pretty sure it was consumer grade.

Drop telkom and get a proper ISP that wont "shut your internet down"

By shut down do you mean its slow or unusable?
