What do I need to know to do this job?
• 5+ years of formal QA software testing
• 5+ years of manual testing
• 5+ years of testing web applications
• Solid exposure to automated testing tools (Selenium, Test Studio)
• Strong experience with functional, regression and user Acceptance testing
• A bonus if you have an understanding of SQL and relational database principles (SQL, MySQL, DB2, etc.)
• A bonus if you have an ability to inspect and understand HTML, CSS and Javascript
What will I do every day?
• Developing, implementing, maintaining and enhancing test plans, test scripts and test methodologies that ensure comprehensive testing of all assigned software systems to ensure compliance with software/system specifications
• Testing all aspects of new feature development for their web-based application
• Identify and analyse defects/test results and be able to deduce the chain of events leading to a failure
• Identify any potential quality issues per defined process and escalate potential quality issues immediately to management
• Write and maintain a library of automated browser tests using Telerik Test Studio
• Work closely with the other members of the development team to review the designs of systems, implement test plans, and test the quality of software products
• Mentoring and managing a junior QA tester
