Mine is 10 degrees tilt South facing. In summer I clock almost 35kWh a day which is why the pool is run for basically the whole day to use the power. In winter, only 20.

April, May, June, July. Those are the only months where monthly production potential drops below 700 a month. April and May weren't bad this year at least for my side. June though has been my worst.

1 month to go and its back to smooth sailing. Assuming July is like June with the crappy clouds.

If you think I'm bad you must see my parents. They have 8 panels. So about 20kWh I think. The battery is full everyday by 8.30. Why? They literally use 1 to 1.5kWh every night. My dad wanted to buy another battery and I told him he is wasting his money.

They just don't use any power. Also offgrid.

July is the driest month in JHB, normally. September is our sunniest. April was, bad, wasn't as bad as 2025 April though. These last few days have though almost used as much as from the grid as April 3 units less so far.

I am gauging based on the batteries. The other day was the only time I hit 24V on the GELs. Today they are 24.2 so by tomorrow they will be around 24V also. Thats a SOC of around 50. I never touched that in April, not even close.

Hopefully July is better.

Hopefully, last year June, with my old system I only used 8.8 from the grid and July was 17.7 and that was mainly as I ran one day without panels while they are putting the new ones up and changing the old ones to match.

Doesn't just the inverter use 1.5kWh? Do they use candles or something? What do they do about mosquitoes?

I guess not for people with R25k lying under the mattress. What's wrong with just using the forced grid buys when you need it? How often is that?
