Solar generation in rain/cloudy conditions

Agree. Once laundry is done. I will run this bad boy a bit.

Going to use up all the UV's so you guys don't get any
Does the heat pump replace the pool pump in that the heat pump has enough power to run the water via the pool filter while it heats it ?

If yes, 2.6kw is pretty cool. My pump runs on 1.25kw. To double load but to get heated water is nice and would also allow me to use all the PVs

Sorry it's a noob question.

No. Its strictly for heating or cooling the water. If the pool pump is off the heatpump also switches off as no flow is detected.

That means if you want to use the heatpump you must have the pool pump running also. I only have a 0.75kW pool pump because its a small pool so it would be the 2.7kW heatpump + 0.75kW poolpump in terms of electricity usage.

Thanks. I consider myself educated 🏆

@denmendez65 now you see why JHBers say that winter isn't so bad up here for production
I can’t complain as yet hey. The teens have been with me since schools closed. I haven’t heated the geyser from the inverter for almost 3 weeks now. Maybe 2. Haven’t kept track.

It’s been alright. The longer days helps even though the weather isn’t the best.

The 2 of them just run the TV and PC the whole day and most of the night but it’s not enough to strain the little system I have.

I can confidently say I can have 4 people in the house and not worry about upgrading it.

How has things been on your side generation wise? Any need to tap into Citipower yet?

It's been alright but have had to not run pool pump as often as I would like.
Also been out a few of the days so not been home using it as much

Kitchen is working overtime. Oven mainly. Christmas lunch for about 14 people. PV is just able to match the load. A bit surprising as it typically always rains every Christmas.

Merry Christmas to all the PV enthusiasts here.

It wasn't looking good at the start but the sun doesn't always shine on tv.
Merry holidays to you to

Weird solar generation this last two mornings, barely anything until 10 past 8 when it suddenly spikes up. Normally it gradually improves

Today is even worse it's a third of even yesterday which was pretty low. I do see that the panels do have done shade, but it shouldn't be causing them to generate nothing
