Solar generation in rain/cloudy conditions

Crazy how different parts of Joburg have such varying weather. The trees my side are swaying all over the place.
Yup :), though the valley I'm in can have different weather just down the road.

Mine ended to 100% SOC, currently.
Nice, mine would be close but it just won't make it, but that's not an issue really can make it through till tomorrow and be on about 40%

Batteries didn’t get to 100% as I decided to top off Geyser for an hour today since tomorrow will be a repeat of today from the current weather reports.

Tomorrow is a work day so only wife at home working from laptop so base load will be some 200W and batteries will be fine and I only need them to get to 90% to be fine for the following day. I do think tomorrow I’ll be at 65% in the morning. Currently at 85%.

@Lupus I see on my social groups plenty of areas have power cuts so you aren’t alone in that regard.

Nope sigh, yeah batteries only got to 93%, now at 84% thanks to the heat pump running twice. Thanks to hot water usage, people don't realise how much washing by hand uses.

Yeah. I would argue a dishwasher is more efficient than hand washing. Our cleaner also flies through hot water also so typically tell her to just use the dishwasher. But she still uses a bit to clean floors etc.

Yup, even with a heat pump the dishwasher nips the efficiency by a tad.

Looks like the grid is going to have to help me today. Batteries are very low and its a UV rating of 4 for the day.

Only starting at 11.00 am according weather

A 5kw generator will chow about 2.5L an hour... that's R55 an hour!

Nothing is cheaper than Eskom direct
