I'm redoing a house near the Swartberge in the Southern Cape. Apparently it gets very cold there in winter. Does anyone have any experience of using solar energy for house heating? Is this even feasible? What works and what doesn't? Any suppliers to use or avoid? I'd appreciate any tips from people who have real knowledge and/or experience.

I guess the key question is what about nights? How long can these things keep a house warm?

I have thought about it, and only by adapting our design, and its not really that feasible with our design. I doubt ur going to find a cost effective way , but would be interested to find out...
