Hi all

Does anybody know a reputable Solar installer.

I did ask my installer he saying profit margin is to small. So I need someone.

Can someone recommend an istaller in Cape Town to install dc optimisers for me. The PFS recommended installer that did my install has promised me since May to come and install, but just empty promises, cannot even get my COC out of him. Help would be greatly appreciated.
 
Installers are a pain in the bud. You talk to them and they never come back.

@LazyLion need to contact them.
 
Somebody coming to see me Monday. I spoke to him German well done.

Yeah, these okes are SUPER BUSY at the moment... fully booked up.... load shedding has got them a full schedule for months on end now... :(
 
You know what pee's me off, tell me I don't have a time slot for you.
I know these oaks are busy all over. I fully understand there situation.
Don't tell me I come back to you if you cant if you fully booked.
Someone replied they are full booked till mid September, that's cool with me. I'm also a person that understand these situations. Play open cards.

I will give it another bash coming week. See if I can find one.
Frustrating no commitment from installers. I will work out a quote and let you know, everybody tells me this story.
Also cant cast a date when install will take place.

Don't know if they are running after big money.
Spares seem to be difficult inverter as well batteries side, or any other lose item side.
Used SunSynk installer base no luck here.

I need PV DB and AC DB for inverter. The installer can't source these items.
If anybody knows were to source, PM me.

Anybody has AC drawing what currently is required between House DB and new inverter DB.

Ok house install will commence tomorrow.

I contacted 30 plus installers got 4 replies. Also need to mention 3 quotes.
This comes using SunSynk installer base.

I honestly don’t know what you were expecting sourcing your own kit and then expecting someone else to want to install it.

These guys make half their profit from sourcing and supplying the goods and the rest from doing the work.

It makes no sense to take a client who makes them money and is a potential problem for sourcing **** all over and then needing to do the work and being help accountable for it.

I would also have skipped, it’s the perfectly logical thing to do as a business.

Have you spoken to Steve from Power Forum Store? He is very helpful. The installer he recommended has been top notch this far. Hiccups so far was not installer fault. All issues has been promptly sorted between Steve and the Installer. So not sure what happened on your end?

I have seen this many a times, you get something for 1R then you want to sell it for 10R.

I assume there are importers that give installer some sort of discount? Use that. One man business is not viable in our current market any more. They want to make mega bucks and screw the consumer.

Become engineer and make mega bucks.
