Hey all.....

Looking through all the threads in this section but cannot find a thread that has installers and suppliers for Solar kits. After a long long weekend of no power, I am convinced to go off-grid.

Kindly share the installers and solar suppliers you have used for your solar installation.

I used Cudub Holdings.
They are based in Centurion area but they do all areas in GP.

I have received several quotes and it ranges anywhere from R130k to R280k

One which I am considering is a total of R167K, it consists of the following:
  1. 1 x Deye 8va 48V Inverter with Wifi logger (5 year warranty) 26,500.00 = 26,500.00
  2. 2 x Pylontech 5.12kwh 48v Lithium Battery US5000 (10 year warranty) 21,500.00 = 43,000.00
  3. 15 x 380watt Canadian Solar Panels Monochrystalline Solar Panels( 25 year warranty) 2,450.00 = 36,750.00
  4. Consumables(cables, brackets, tubing, fuses, etc....) = R19,248
  5. Installation =R19,500
  6. CoC = R1,040
  7. Vat = R21,905
Your opinion on whether this is a good deal is welcomed.

Way too high. They ripping you off.

Should be about R20k for materials AND installation.

For me

Installation was around R16k
Consumables and stuff around R12k.
