Solar lighting

Hi Guys,

I'm looking at solar spot lights for my driveway, etc but have had bad experiences with solar lights. Generally they just not bright enough. Has anyone bought a decent quality solar spot light, from where and how much?

I also generally struggle to find the lux rating on the solar lights.

You get what you pay for dude. If you buy those ****ty little lights you will get ****ty performance

a) Get a deep cycle battery
b) Inverter
c) Normal spot lights
d) Don't forget the solar panels to recharge the battery
e) profit

I'd also do this. Change them to LED first. Since you want just your driveway lights powered, ask for LiFePO4 batteries as they will last forever.
