I have a Inverter and Battery installed (Sunsynk) been in place for a couple of months now.

Have ordered panels which should be here this week.

Might be a funny question but when you connect the panels up (Live and Neutral) surely there is already a live circuit coming from the panels in the sun?

The breaker in the box is there to turn them off but how to you connect them up without actual power going through the circuit with the panels in the sun?

Dont worry I have someone installing them for me, just wondering about the above.

No Live or neutral. Plus + and Minus - connection. DC gets generated from the panels.
VOC on most panels is +/- 49.XXdc volt.
If you connect panels in series, they all add up. 6*50Vdc=300Vdc.
If the sun shines you generate power. Most panels below <500W generate approx. 11.xx amperes.
So, 6 panels give 300Vdc at 11.xx amps.
So, for every panel you mount in series generate voltage. They all get added up but current stays at 11. xxA.
You need to touch both wires to get a shock. (+/-)

Only for isolation purpose. Don't touch both wires at the same time.

You need to close the circuit in order for it to do something.
The mc4 connectors also insulate the positive and negative connections.
So as long as you don't find a way to make the 2 ends connect, you should be OK.
