Im pretty new to the soldering game.I purchased a 60w el cheapo the other day.It has a tip locking nut at the base of the steel sleeve.The tips are hollow and fit OVER the ceramic heating element.I wanted to get a particular tip but its only available with a solid,non hollow body.
I think the solid tip is only compatible with the iron that has 2 screws at its end to secure the tip.
Do i now have to go buy another iron?Is there not an adapter i can buy for the different tips?
