He was not punished, but in true transformation style he was helped. He would be given a mentor. He would continue to get an inflated salary and he would continue to be allowed to live the role of victim. He still did not play in the Vodacom Cup side and Eloff started to resurrect Tyibilika in club rugby.

Tyibilika’s selection is not a victory for transformation. It is an indictment on how transformation in rugby is applied and it is why transformation will continue to provide more heartache than euphoria in the game.
