Solutions for the download ?????

Hi,

I need to download some programs.

I find 2 solutions (they works very well at home) :

1 you restrict your usage below 3 Gb until the last day, and the last day, you download all the day (the traffic is posted at midnight!!!).

2 - you use a downloaer programm !!!! (I download near 30 kbytes/s over the 3 Gb !!!!!)

how does this constitute a 'solution'? if you download on the last day, won't your 3Gb worth of downloads be included in the next month's volumes, due to being posted at midnight on that last day? [?]

also, the excess over 3Gb is not a 'gain', as the cap has to do with management of bandwidth, not to prevent you from downloading more than 3Gb. the way i understand it, your download speeds (irrespective of whether you're using a download manager or not) will deteriorate once the cap is reached, whether you want to download 30Mb over the cap or 3000Mb over the cap (goodluck to you if you want to do this!) []

No, so long as you disconnect before midnight.

Your download speeds won't detoriorate after the cap, your downloads come to a complete stop (if international).

The cap check is only made when you disconnect, so on the last day you can get some extra downloads in.

I prepared my firewall to disconnected before midnight the last of the month (also it reconnect after midnigth).

My international traffic is affected but I download 20-30 files in the same time (the total is near oo 30 kbytes/s) but somme international sites aren't affected !!!!! I don't use a VPN.

Also I remark that the usage report of Telkom is false.....I've a internal tracker (under linux, it's was tested during 2 months with another counter under windows....and it's fine). The unit of Telkom tracket is the kilobyte and not the byte !!!!!!
