Hey guys,
I see a number of threads referring to Samsung devices and the "Not Registered on Network" Error.
My S4 pulls the same trick now and then. But what I find really odd is that it is always when I enter the Northgate/Sharonlea area.
wtf:
)
Usually a reboot sorted it out but today, no such luck.
So a little bit of research on the web and the following worked for me:
1. Set the device to flight mode to turn off all connections.
2. Once in flight mode, try to make a call. The device will ask if flight mode must be deactivated. Select "yes".
Sorted.
Well, at least it worked for me.
Then, there's also this that can be tried (although for me it wasn't necessary):
Step 1:
First, go to Settings.
Step 2:
Then go to Connections/Wireless and networks.
Step 3:
Select More Networks > Mobile Networks
Step 4:
Now tap Network Mode and select WCDMA only
Step 5:
Select Network Operators
Step 6:
Select your Network Operator (Vodacom, MTN etc) and restart the phone.
Hope this helps in some way or form.
