Whats up guys of MyBB,

So I decided I am going to buy me a new PC. I've been out of building PC's for a bit as I tried the gaming laptop route and now I am over it and want a proper rig again.
Here is what I have in mind so far:

MB: MSI Z77A-G43, LGA1155, Intel Z77, 4x dual channel DDR3 2677, on-board Intel GPU
Chassis: Cooler Master K280, Mid Tower, Black, no PSU (bottom placed design)
PSU: Thermaltake LitePower, 650w, ATX 12V V2.3, active PFC, dual +12v rails, 2x 8pin
CPU: Intel Core i5 3570K, 3.4GHz, LGA1155, Quad Core (with 4 threads), 22nm, 6MB L3 c
RAM: 2 x Corsair CML8GX3M1A1600C10, 8GB, Vengeance LP with Black low-profile heatsink, DD
GPU: GIGABYTE GV-R795WF3-3GD, HD7950, 3GB 384bit 4 channel DDR5, 32RoPs, 264Gb/sec me
HD: Seagate Barracuda ST31000524AS, 1TB/1000GB, SATA6G, 7200rpm, 32MB cache, 2 years
Monitor: LG D2343P-BN, 23" 3D LED, with iPS technology

Any thoughts on that?

Not familiar with the thermaltake PSU, maybe someone else can comment. Would rather go for corsair, antec, seasonic and some of the xfx ones.

Heard only terrible things about the Thermaltake LitePower series. Rather go with something suggested by ponder. Otherwise that is a great machine and should max out games for a while to come. The only missing component is a SSD but that is nice to have, not critical

You are cheaping out on the PSU and asking for trouble get a better one suchas Corsair/Antec any 600w+ one from them should be good.

Make sure the case is good enough for you space/features wise also.

Otherwise the rest looks good.

Thanks for the input guys. Would this PSU be a better choice?
ANTEC VP650P, 650W (12V: 600W), EPS12V V2.91 + ATX 12V V2.31, ACTIVE PFC, DUAL 1

You've got a pretty decent build overall, except for the PSU that may not be the best choice.

An Antec VP550P (550W) PSU would suffice for the single graphics card. To be honest, even a decent 460W PSU would do!

Another motherboard worth looking at in that same price point:
ASRock Z77 PRO3 @ R1,107

The user views for that screen look fantastic! I didn't know you can get a FullHD 3D IPS screen for under R2k either!

You may want to consider getting a 128GB SSD and CPU cooler. The CPU cooler won't be necessary, unless you're going to overclock. You can always get the CPU cooler later on though.
The SSD is one thing that I'll recommend you get from the start if you can afford it.

Lastly, where are you going to be buying your PC from?

The AzRock does look very nice. Thanks for the link, I'l check out some comparisons.
For the PSU I was looking at ANTEC VP650P, 650W (12V: 600W), EPS12V V2.91 + ATX 12V V2.31, ACTIVE PFC, DUAL 1 after some suggestions as I will be looking to add another GPU eventually.
OC is a big possibility but not yet so the cooler isn't needed. That Screen does look amazing :-). As for the SSD I will be getting one in a month or 2 as soon as I can afford it.

I'm looking to buy at rebel.

I'd rather recommend that you sell the current graphics card and then replace it with a newer generation one that is much faster.

Running dual graphics cards is an expensive thing, because you'll need
1) a bigger PSU (with enough cables)
2) a bigger case for better airflow
3) a more expensive motherboard with 8x+8x SLI/CrossFire support, preferably with 3 PCI-E slots between the 2x PCI-E 3.0 16x slots, so that you have good ventilation for the top graphics card
... and you'll have a bigger electricity bill ;)

Typically the 650W PSU's does not have enough PCI-E graphics card connectors for high end graphics cards like the HD 7950.

Ah I see. In that case, if I need better graphics I will look into it then. But other than that, with the Antec 650W it will be fine?

Yes, the Antec 650W would be just fine for a single graphics card, but you can perhaps go for a cheaper Antec VP550W for the single graphics cards configuration.

Update:
Please just take note that Rebel Tech's service levels over the last month has not been great at all! I'd almost go as far as to say rather spend a bit more on a different reputable online shop like Wootware/Prophecy Shop/etc., where you know you're going to get a decent service

Eish, word of mouth can be a bad thing, companies take note!

Yes Ponder! Like Wootware probably earns 90% of their revenue due to word of mouth if I'd had to take a big guess.
I just wanted to give the OP a headsup on the Rebel Tech service quality matter.

I've been supporting Rebel Tech and Wootware the past few years and had very good experiences from both, but Rebel Tech really appears to gone bad the past month if you look at the Rebeltech poor service thread.

If they pick up their service quality again, I'd be more than happy to spread the good word!

So at this moment the OP could be a lucky customer by receiving excellent service OR he could end up like the guys who complained in that thread (of which I was one of them).

Thanks for the heads up Pada, I appreciate it, I read that thread actually and was quite surprised by it since in the past I've had really good service from them. How recommendable is wootware? I did a comparison and for roughly R400 more I could get an even slightly better build.

Wootware's service is really top notch and they accept the EFT purchases very fast since they have accounts with all the major banks. If you've dealt with Rebel Tech before and is comfortable with dealing with them, seeing that you'll save R400, it may still be worth it to stick with Rebel Tech. I would however suggest that you first make sure that they do have stock of everything before you make the payment... so you can checkout and wait for them to give confirmation of stock first.
