some advice please

ok, so i saw on another thread a really cool setup where the xbox is connected to an overhead projector - which got me thinking, what is the point of getting a hdtv when for about the same price you can get a high definition projector yet with like 10 times the screen size?

so anyhow what is the difference between say this mitsubishi baby which looks cool,

which I can get for R9995, compared to this panasonic one, that is more than double the price, at around R25,000 and just looks like no point in paying any extra:

so anyhow any advice on the setup please, I would need the DSTV, Xbox and then obviously some kind of surround sound setup connected to the projector - so who connects to what? oh and probably a cool 3 - 5 metre screen, anyone know who sells screens..

It can be more hassle dealing with a screen and focussing. Probably not a problem if you're able to mount everything permanently, but I couldn't do that.

The Panasonic is brighter. It claims a higher contrast ratio, but it probably doesn't matter in the real world.
