Some advice?

Images from my old A100 was so bad, it had unacceptable noise levels from ISO100. Now I own a D90 and I am very happy with the high ISO performance. The D7000 will be better than the A77 at high ISO. Of that I'm sure...

I would have to agree, why do Sony not fix the ISO issue? The noise is a well documented problem, if they fixed it, it would be a fantastic camera

If they fixed the noise issue, before I upgraded 2 years back, I would have upgraded to another Sony. I used to be a fan of all Sony products, but now I wouldn't buy anything they make...
 
It is strange. After all, Sony makes some of the world's best professional video cameras. It's not like they are strangers to sensors, image processing or cameras.
