Interesting stuff, on the A700 its known for extremely noisy ISO at higher levels. Even at 400 its bad.

I would have to agree, why do Sony not fix the ISO issue? The noise is a well documented problem, if they fixed it, it would be a fantastic cameraImages from my old A100 was so bad, it had unacceptable noise levels from ISO100. Now I own a D90 and I am very happy with the high ISO performance. The D7000 will be better than the A77 at high ISO. Of that I'm sure...

Thats whats worrying me, seems that Nikon / Canon have this issue sorted out, why can't Sony fix it?If they fixed the noise issue, before I upgraded 2 years back, I would have upgraded to another Sony. I used to be a fan of all Sony products, but now I wouldn't buy anything they make...
