Some DVB-T advice please

I'm going to be helping a friend install a terrestrial antenna. Will be pointing at the Villiersdorp tower which is VHF and UHF. I have heard that DTT will use UHF only, can anyone confirm this? Don't want to waste money on the VHF aerial if it's going to be redundant in a few years.

No problem. They are rural, so might only be getting DTT much later than Cape Town.

I'm thinking of just using a grid or maybe one of those dual VHF/UHF ones.

Depends where he is. Worcester/Villiersdorp/Robertson, combo log periodic should be okay. The installers there use them often.

Slightly off topic, but years ago I had a pdf that listed all the towers including the municipal ones, the stations they carried, ERP, polarity etc. You know where I could find that again? It even had the GPS coordinates.
