Hello everybody!

I see there are a lot of people asking for advice in changing careers to be more Tech Aligned, and I need your help as well.

I am a teacher, with a PGCE, MSc Biochemistry. I want to change my career because i cannot see me doing this for exceedingly long.

The other factor is i am over 40 (41 to be exact). In the first place is it worthwhile to pivot to tech and second questions what the wise choice would be to make, education wise, short courses? A degree is going to take a lot of time that I feel i don't have.

I have some experience in Data Science with Python Programming (Just short course) and some web development (Starting up WordPress Sites for Schools).

Is it worthwhile to do a Full Stack Developer Course? Or are there other certifications I am overlooking. And of course, would the course/certification help to get an entry level job (I am not earning that much, so a shift won't be a problem)

Any input and advice would be appreciated.

Agree, leverage the biochemistry. You already have a Masters!

New topic, if you wanna trial experimental drugs on human subjects, I will rustle up some volunteers from here.

Thank you guys for the input. It helps alot just for some direction. Much appreciated!

My two cents:

Leverage the biochemistry degree and data science experience and aim for a data scientist role at a biotech firm.. throw in some machine learning and AI too, since that's the new buzz word..
This is the answer!
