Some help to choose a package...

Hello guys/girls,

I have been with iburst since the begining. I am planning on running a small design bussiness from home with three people. I need some advise on which package, router and line to hire from who ?
I have a budget of max R1000.00 a month for internet. If you could point and link me to the best bang for buck I will be gratefull. All four pc's will be online 27/7.

Assuming you already have phone line, you will be paying just over a Total R1k for 1024kb/s to 4Mb/s, the cheapest option is 384kb/s to Telkom rental and myISP uncapped but shaped @ R 442 /month Total cost (subtract R131 if you don't consider the analogue rental).
This would leave your budget at at least R500 /month to pay for your own domain and webhosting which is more than enough just for that, leaving you roughly R440 /month towards your webdevelopment etc budgets.

384kb/s in my opinion would be slow as hell for 4PC's but try that first before jumping onto faster speeds. BTW 512kb/s works out more expensive so don't even consider that. There are ways and means to get the most out of your connection e.g. running a proxy server and wsus to name a couple.

I have looked at mweb's deal for 512 it is not that bad even the 4mb line looks to be in budget that I asume is for line rental and package ?
