I use an email account from 2 locations using the same address and using Outlook Express. What happens is if I use PC at work then emails are downloaded onto that PC. If I use the PC at home then emails are downloaded on that PC. This means I cannot leave mail on server so that I could access it at home or vice versa. Is it possible to run email of say a portable HDD so that I can plug it in at work, use mail and then have mail saved to HDD and the same would apply at home. There may be other solutions but that why I relay on the forumites collective wisdom! Thank You

Set your Outlook to not delete mail messages after retrieving them from the server. This will download the mail twice (at home and at work) and leave a copy on the server.

or perhaps a way of leaving mail on server so I see mails from both positions

Ruan answered your question, look in the mail serttings on Outlook (or whatever prog you use), somewhere there should be a setting that states "leave copy of mail on server", check the box and restart the prog. Now when you download the mail at the office it will leave a copy of the original on the server so that when you get home it will be downloaded there too. Easy! :) Good luck
